Fencing Tips

We are including a few helpful tips that you can follow before we come out to install your fence:

Determine the exact location where you want to have your fence installed.
We recommend that you make the fence line at lease 6 inches inside your property line.  Stake out the corners and string the fence line with inexpensive twine. This will give you an idea how the fence will lay and assure there are no bushes, or trees in the way.

Let the neighbors know.
Most of the time neighbors do not mind the addition of a fence, but it is always better to be courteous and let them know what you are planning to do in order to avoid any future problems.

Locate Utilities
Find out where any underground power lines, gas, cable or sprinkler system pipes are located and make accordingly. This avoids the instance where one of these resources gets damaged by post hole diggers or augers.

Check for Subdivision Covenants and County Ordinances
Many subdivision covenants or country ordinances determine fence height rules and even materials. Find out what rules if any your property falls under before selecting your fence.

Get a Permit
Many cities and counties require you to get a permit to build any structure, including porches and fences on your property. Find out if you need to have a permit before we come to install your fence, this can delay our crews from installing your fence and cause unnecessary worries.
